Charming rectangular polychrome porcelain box, decorated in the traditional Cantonese "Famille Rose" style, depicting court scenes and colorful floral arrangements. Chinese export work, second half of the 19th century, early 20th century. The lid and sides are decorated with lively scenes in a garden, surrounded by floral borders. Apocryphal (?) mark on the reverse: 華康堂製 (Hua Kang Tang Zhi).
