The first half of the barrel is square, then round; the joint is decorated with an engraved, foliated and gilded ring. The thunderbolt and breech tail are engraved in succession, with gold damascened decoration on the three upper sides, two stamped punches and three fleurs-de-lys. Silver handlebar on star.
Miquelet-style flat-body lock engraved with foliage and grapes and marked ASPE ANO DE 1845 SEVILLE; the hammer is engraved en suite with two doves. Steel counterplate engraved with two doves flanked by quivers with arrows, foliage and a bird in a corner.
Trigger guard engraved with two doves and a fox; bears the SPE marking.
Engraved buttplate.
Short-barrel walnut frame with moldings and checkering.
Silver nasturtium engraved with a potted bouquet flanked by birds.
Silver grenadière with beading. The chopstick is made of whalebone, with bone and silver tip.
Fairly good condition. Tender lock, small spring missing. A silver trim is missing from the frame.
