Giuseppe Scapinelli (1911–1982) was an Italian designer, who settled in Brazil in the 1940s: a prolific designer, his work is distinguished by elegant forms and bold curves, often made of carved exotic wood.
He designed refined furniture that combined functionality and sophistication, blending European aesthetics with Brazilian modernism, defining the style of Brazilian furniture of the 1950s and 1960s.
