Charming Chinese head cushion (traditional pillow), composed of a bright red lacquered wooden base, finely decorated with gilded floral motifs and stylized scrolls engraved in the lacquer. The upper part consists of a cylindrical textile bolster covered in white and red cotton, with silk fringes and traditional ties. This type of object was commonly used in wealthy Chinese homes during the Qing period, both for rest and for ritual or medicinal purposes.
