"Edouard Fer (1887-1959) "house In Provence ~1926, Nice" Pointillist, Signac, Cross, Luce...."
Very pretty canvas by Edouard Fer representing a house in Provence, circa 1926, signed lower right + salon label on the back with the date 1926. Painting size 38x46cm. This is therefore a very beautiful pointillist painting by Edouard Fer representing a young woman (perhaps his wife) on the balcony of a Provençal farmhouse, therefore very probably in the vicinity of Nice. Fer uses his usual touch which he masters to perfection, very divided, close to that of Signac, just like his palette made of bright and colorful tones with a sublime shades of green. Edouard Fer was therefore one of the most famous painters of Nice at the beginning of the 20th century, he developed the principles of neo-impressionism like Seurat, Signac, Cross or Valtat, some of whom he rubbed shoulders with. His favorite field will be his favorite city, Nice, but he will also create superb portraits, nudes or still lifes, but also posters and finally he will even write a book "Solfège de la couleur" which will be a reference in the world of painting. Like any good self-respecting neo-impressionist, his works of divided invoices are the most prized by amateurs, especially since they are rather rare on the market and some achieve very very good results in sales. This painting on canvas is in good condition, I note some old restorations but rather well done, despite everything I largely take these into account in my price. Delivered for the moment without frame. Work guaranteed authenticps: I have another work of Fer for sale, a very beautiful nude
