"Large Ceramic Bottle Circa 1950/1960 Signed 44cm. Ruelland, Jouve, Gatard, Amado, Jolain"
Superb very large ceramic bottle circa 1950/1960, signed but artist not identified. Height: 44cm circumference at widest: 27.5cm Perfect original condition. I am therefore offering this magnificent bottle with a long, slightly off-center and twisted neck, entirely covered with a superb glossy Havana brown enamel, the interior of the bottle is enameled in glossy white, finally slight concentric cracked circles towards the bottom of the piece. We can see a signature in a slight hollow under the bottom of the piece, unfortunately for the moment I have not been able to decipher it. We obviously immediately think of Ruelland, Georges Jouve or Denise Gatard....Jouve I don't think, but a very early production of Ruelland or Gatard why not...why not also a creation by Mado Jolain at the beginning, because the enamel is very reminiscent of those she used during the production of her spice jars: finally I also thought of Jo Amado who produced similar pieces.....I am interested in any information. The only thing I can certify and guarantee 200% is that this piece was really made between 1950 and 1970, not after. AND also that it is a very qualitative production.
