Set of four walnut cabriolet armchairs, Louis XV period, 18th century, stamped Pierre Nicolas PILLOT, born in Nîmes in 1748 and died in the same city in 1822, Master in Nîmes towards the end of the reign of Louis XVI. Private collection, from a private mansion in Aix, which had always belonged to the same family. Dimensions: h. of the armchair: 92.5 cm x h. of the seat: 42 cm x d.53 cm x l.60 cm. In very good condition, the upholstery should be redone. History: Pierre Pillot designed many chairs in a characteristic Louis XV and Louis XVI style, where one can recognize the double influence of Lyonnais taste and Italian art.
