Rare original Sèvres porcelain plate, c.1785,featuring beautifully hand-painted bouquets of garden flowers in vibrant enamelcolors. The plate’s crisply modelled basketweave (“corbeille”) border andharmonious composition reflect the exceptional standards of Sèvres during theLouis XVI period. On the reverse, the Sèvres factory mark authenticates thisplate as an original work of the late 18th century. A small hole to the backwas intentionally made for wall display—an elegant tradition for Sèvres platesin refined interiors.                                                                                                                               Suchpieces were created for royal or aristocratic service and are highly regardedby collectors worldwide.Condition: Moderate gilt wear to the rim from age anduse. Three small areas of the border have been expertly restored.
