Beautiful antique Chinese bronze incense burner, resting on a matching openwork base. The domed body is supported by three decorative feet and flanked by two stylized handles evoking dragons or celestial scrolls. The openwork lid is surmounted by a fine sculpture representing a Fo dog, a Chinese mythical figure symbolizing vigilance and protection. Refined work, probably from the end of the 19th or beginning of the 20th century, with a beautiful even patina and slight traces of time, characteristic of its authenticity.
