"Display Stand / Support In Carved Wood – Signed Ed. Mauvert Let Toulouse"
A very fine late 19th / early 20th century display stand in solid wood, hand-carved, square in shape with a raised circular top. The apron is decorated with a finely carved foliage frieze, typical of this period. Dimensions: 34 × 34 × 11 cm Diameter of the round top: 25 cm Oval stamp under the base: “ED. MAUVERT / LET / TOULOUSE” – probably a craftsman or cabinetmaker’s workshop active in Toulouse in the late 19th century. This display stand / stand is ideal for displaying a bust, a sculpture or a clock.
