Virgin and Child in carved, gilded and polychromed boxwood. She holds, in her left hand, in a slight contra-posto, the child Jesus carrying the world.
Beautiful workshop sculpture which still has beautiful traces of gilding and blue on the base.
Work from northern France or Flanders, 16th century
Damage to the crown. Later black base
