Makeig-jones Wedgwood Lustre Vase Z4832, Butterflies, Rare

Highly collectible Wedgwood lustre vase, pattern Z4832, made in 1914—the inaugural year of Daisy Makeig-Jones’ celebrated work for Wedgwood. This date is critical: early pieces are rare, documented, and in sustained demand among both collectors and investors.
The vase is covered in a uniquely opalescent mother-of-pearl glaze and hand-gilded butterflies. These features create exceptional decorative appeal, compensating for a stable crack to the upper neck/rim (see photos), which does not disrupt the strong overall effect.
