Art Deco Crystal Vase Signed Lorrain, A Subsidiary Of Daum, With Frosted Effect Decoration, Circa 1930
Magnificent crystal vase from the Art Deco period, decorated with stylized flowers released with acid giving a frosted effect.
This vase, in perfect condition, is signed with the point "Lorrain France" on the base.
Height: 27 cm, diameter at the widest: 18 cm, diameter of the neck: 14.5 cm, diameter of the base: 11 cm.

The Verrerie d'Art LORRAIN, or Verrerie Belle Etoile Daum et Cie, was created on December 15, 1925 by Antonin DAUM in Croismare, near Lunéville, in order to differentiate its production from that of the Daum factory located in Nancy. Pierre d'Avesn became artistic director from 1930. From 1927, it was mechanized to produce pieces in blown-pressed and molded-pressed glass, signed LORRAIN. The economic crisis of the 1930s affected the Verrerie Belle Étoile. It closed permanently on December 16, 1934. Some of the 120 workers were reassigned to Daum in Nancy.
