Pair Of Bronze Candlesticks Known As “aux Romains”, Early 19th Century
Elegant pair of Empire candlesticks in gilt and patinated bronze adorned with two figures, one feminine the other masculine, dressed in antique style. The pedestal, column-shaped, is made of green marble and rests itself on a square bronze base. Each character wears an amphora from which emerges a flower-shaped arm of light.
