Gilded silver chalice. The six-lobed, raised foot is decorated with a Greek cross, large water leaves, and guilloché floral motifs. The stem has a collar and a flattened ball knot decorated with chiseled palm leaves and quatrefoils. It supports a straight-rimmed cup and a cut-out false cup, decorated with the same ornament as the base. The base is fitted with a gilded bronze disc. Neo-Gothic style. Hallmarks: Minerva 950/1000. The chalice was made in the workshops of Master Goldsmith Chevron, active between 1879 and 1883.Chalice: Height 23.2 cm – Base diameter: 14.5 cm – Gross weight: 320 g Paten attached: Diameter: 14 cm – Weight: 81 g The paten, decorated with IHS and a crown of thorns, dates from the period 1819–1838.Condition: The chalice is in perfect condition; traces of use are minimal or non-existent.
