Very pretty 19th century portrait of a lady with lace. Oil on canvas monogrammed and dated lower right of the portrait BV 1825 for Barthelemy VIEILLEVOYE Belgian painter born February 5, 1798 in Verviers and died July 30, 1855 in Liège, prolific painter, he was active in Antwerp, he was the first director of the Academy of Fine Arts of Liège in 1836. He was made a knight of the Order of Leopold on December 1, 1845 and a square bears his name in Liège.
