First edition of 1779 deliciously illustrated by Leclerc with a frontispiece, a heraldic vignette at the head of the dedication and 4 culs-de-lampe, the 4 figures outside the text are missing. Printed on vellum. Copy in all margins covered with a fine period binding in full porphyry calf. Collection of four octosyllabic poems, beautifully erotic, singing four meetings between gods and goddesses at each hour of the toilet (morning, midday, afternoon tea, evening). Work dedicated to Her Serene Highness the Princess of Lamballe (1749-1792) Superintendent of the Queen's Household. IN-8, beautiful copy, solid binding, decorative spine, the leather has scuffs on the joints near the headpieces. Corners dented, interior fresh and clean.
