"Octogonal Telescope, 18th Century"
Small octogonal telescope datable to the mid-18th century or between 1750 and 1770. The telescope body is constructed of eight-sided mahogany. The optical parts are made of brass. A very good example of an 18th century travel or marine telescope in good original condition and giving a sharp image. 34.8 in length and approximately 3.5 in diameter.
