It rests on a white Carrara marble base. The dial, signed "André Humberloz Droz à Paris," features Roman and Arabic numerals. It is encircled with sheaves of rushes centered by a knot and a garland of flowers. A two-handled cassolette surmounts the clock, which itself rests on two spinning top feet under inverted consoles. The bronzes follow an architectural and foliage style typical of the Louis XVI period.
