Signed lower left. It is the work of Paolo RICCARDI, born in 1826 in Milan. Died in the same city in 1873. Italian School. Watercolorist and draftsman. He painted historical scenes. He collaborated as a draftsman on the illustrated editions of Manzoni's Promessi Sposi. The Gallery of Modern Arts in Milan has three watercolors by him and the Poldi Museum in this city, twenty-two. The dimensions of the watercolor alone, at sight, are 28.5 cm x 22 cm. With its beautiful old frame, 44cm x 35 cm.
