Superb large bust of a young woman in directly carved marble.
White marble with gray veins.
The young woman is represented with her head in 3/4, with the bust facing the viewer.
The top of the dress is made of pleated fabric held together by a ribbon.
The hair is in English curls. In the style of busts representing Marie Antoinette or her entourage.
Signed on the shoulder A Bartel.
Louis XVI style, late 19th century circa 1895.
Marble needs to be finished cleaning, presence of some black marks.
