"Louis XVI Style Coffee Table Stamped "grohe"."
Living room table 1st half 19th century (before 1847) Louis XVI style in moiré bubinga wood. Center table all face stamped "GROHE" Guillaume (1808-1885). It opens in belt by a large drawer dressed with a very beautiful lock entry with laurel leaves in chased and gilded bronze and equipped with its lock and key which works perfectly. Top veneered with two magnificent leaves of developed moiré bubinga wood, encircled by a bronze ingot mold and a gilded and finely chiseled floral garland. Table which rests on four tapered and fluted mahogany legs, finished with bronze sabots and connected by a spacer cut and circled with a gilded and chiseled bronze molding. Table of an extreme quality of cabinetmaking mounted on oak coming from the prestigious production of Guillaume GROHE, one of the greatest cabinetmaker of his time (supplier to King Louis Philippe, Emperor Napoleon III, etc.).
