"P.sormani 19th Century Sideboard"
Furniture called "at support height" with two leaves signed on the double-point lock "veuve P.SORMANI et fils, 10 rue Charlot, Paris" circa 1880. Furniture in marquetry of precious wood, amboise burl, rosewood, amaranth and boxwood fillets entirely mounted on oak and with a very pronounced curve on all sides. It is topped with its white Carrara marble with a groove on its perimeter. Furniture dressed in chiseled and gilded bronzes of an extreme quality and in particular the two falls of top of front uprights representing a head of Bacchus "God of Roman wine" topped with vine leaves and bunches of grapes. Interior in varnished mahogany. Furniture entirely and very easily dismantled which can facilitate transport in any car and installation in a home not very accessible
