"Claude Galle Torch 1807"
Torch lamp attributable to Claude Galle, Paris circa 1807. Empire Consulate period. Finely chiseled and mercury-gilded bronze. Shafts decorated with three leaning caryatids, rings with a frieze of palmettes and stylized water leaves, finished with three pairs of joined feet. Surmounted by a socket with garlands of flowers on a gaudronné base. High-quality gilding with a double matte and shiny patina. No restoration. Beautiful condition. Electrification work from the 1960s.
