A pair of gilt-bronze and patinated-bronze candlesticks after Claude Galle. The tapered shaft has a band at the top with cut sides centered with stars and edged with guilloché, surmounted by a baluster socket on a pedestal with a bobèche bordered by a frieze of gadroons. They rest on a circular base with moldings and friezes of water leaves.
Empire period, early 19th century.
