Small Mahogany Pedestal Table, From The Restoration Period.
Small work table, with an oval-shaped 'bowl' top, with sloping interior edges. This 'bowl' was very practical for placing your sewing or knitting work. Below, a small drawer opens, equipped with its knob. The top rests on two large legs, joined by a half-cylindrical work "basket", as well as by a straight crosspiece. The whole rests on an 'arch' base equipped with small bronze casters. Very elegant little mahogany piece of furniture, very much in the style of its Restoration period.
