Nakago: 19.3 cm - Curvature, (Sori): 1.6 cm
Straight blade; regular chu suguha hamon. One side features a horimono depicting an apricot tree in blossom; the other, bonjis.
This blade is attributed to a work of the 6th generation of Hizenkoku Tadayoshi.
Nakago kata yamagata (asymmetrical)
Higo-habaki in silver.
Wooden sheath (saya), black lacquered;
Sagéo in eggshell-colored silk.
Wooden tsuka, stingray-covered and braided in eggshell evening.
Fushi kashira en suite, in blued copper and gold dots, decorated with a quail in reeds.
Menuki in chased and patinated copper, featuring a standard.
TSUBA maru-gatta in wrought iron, openwork and engraved with geometric motifs.
Very good condition.
Supplied with its NTHK certificate, also known as Nihon Bijutsu Touken Hozon Kyokai (Society for the Preservation of the Japanese Art Sword).
