"Ca 1900 England Antique English Leather Fire Bucket"
Late Victorian period, circa 1900, EnglandAntique tan leather fire bucket from an English country house, with its original rolled leather carrying handle and hessian-lined interior. The front is decorated with the colorful royal coat of arms.
This example was intended for use as a fire extinguisher, powered by water from a nearby river or fountain, before the creation of the fire brigade.
Beautiful amber shades to the tan leather, superb patina of use and good overall condition.
Dimensions: 67 cm with handle / bucket 51 cm x 24 cm / approximately 2.7 kg.
