Cast Iron Stopper - 19th Century
Cast iron stopper - 19th century. Tool that was used in pharmacy to soften stoppers to facilitate the capping of bottles. This one is made of cast iron and represents a crocodile. Finely decorated on the back (scales), tail and legs. The legs are pierced because this tool was either fixed on a board or on the work surface in the preparatory, the aim being to facilitate its use. Very good condition, complete, no breakage. Rusted and polished, which gives it its shine. Length 30 cm, weight 2.240 kg
