Interesting cap in cotton muslin embroidered with plumetis. A shell-shaped bonnet, as seen in regional iconography from the first decades of the 19th century, made up of two passes of broderie anglaise and rows of pleated muslin. Finished with piping and a pleated flounce around the edge highlighted with white cotton tulle. The cap is tied at the front with two muslin panels. Very fine, remarkably delicate tailoring. Clean and flawless headpiece. Excellent colour and condition.
