Wrought Iron Miner's Oil Lamp - Late 18th Or 19th Century
Octagonal multi-sided miner's oil lamp. Also known as "Rave" from the Massif Central (Saint-Etienne region). Lamp equipped with a large hook allowing suspension in galleries. The hook is mounted on a ball joint. The hoop is decorated as is the base of the hook. In used condition: missing the closing plate of the filling opening. Total height 57 cm, width 13 cm
