The white enamel dial signed Roque in Paris for Joseph-Leonard Roque, famous watchmaker and mechanic, received Master Watchmaker in 1770 in Paris.
Clockmaker to the King during the second half of the 18th century, he worked with the best engineers, bronze chasers and goldsmiths of his time, such as Claude Siméon, Paffement (engineer to the King at the Louvre), Caffieri, Thomas Germain, ................. and on major projects such as the extraordinary clock of the creation of the world preserved at Versailles.
Enameled dial in 3 colors on a white background, openworked with a star motif revealing the striking movement (skeleton movement).
Hour and minute hands with fleurs-de-lis. Indications of the date, day of the week, their symbols and seconds by 3 blue steel hands. Index in Arabic and Roman numerals.
The mechanism suspended from a finely chiseled and mercury-gilded bronze mount, with motifs of pearls of laurel tori, fruit falls and scrolls.
Base in molded white Carrara marble resting on four topie feet.

Condition : beautiful state of conservation (unrestored), hair and small chips to the enamel of the dial, the mechanism needs cleaning.
