"Old Painting By Antonio Maria De Reyna Manescau ( 1859 - 1937 )"
Important oil painting on canvas signed by Antonio Maria De Reyna Manescau, a Spanish painter among the most original of his time in Italy, where a view of the canals of Venice is depicted with particular attention to the architecture of the palaces. The artist is considered one of the most significant authors of Venetian vedutism between the nineteenth and twentieth centuries and for this reason he was referred to as The painter of Venice, using a completely personal technique, which gave the works a vibrant and intense light through a very rich chromatic palette. Antonio Reyna, together with Rafael Senet Perez, continued the tradition started by Ortega Y Martin Rico, painters of light and color who fixed their impressions on the canvas through animated pictorial images of the canals, gondolas, palaces and Venetian squares. The painting we offer you is signed at the bottom right and is inserted in its contemporary golden frame.
