Georgian gentleman portrait pendant in 18 karat gold. Rectangular pendant enclosing a miniature portrait of a man, protected by two glass plates. The man wears a jacket with short lapels and a black coat: this style corresponds to the transition between 18th-century clothing and that of the Empire. The absence of bright colors, the understated elegance, and this way of tying the tie evoke post-revolutionary men's fashion. The pendant closes with a small padlock. Antique pendant, circa 1795-1805.
