Pair Of Pine Vases By d'Argental Paul Nicolas Era Gallé, Daum, Delatte Art Nouveau 1920
Artist: D'argental Paul Nicolas
Spectacular and rare pair of tall Art Nouveau ovoid pine shell vases circa 1920 by the master glassmaker in Nancy, Paul Nicolas (1875-1952), also named d'Argental. These meticulous vases, finely engraved and with many details, present a rotating decoration in multi-layered glass released with acid in cameo of thorny branches and pine cones in shades of brown, orange and glowing orange on a satin yellow background nuanced with red and brown towards the neck. Bright and contrasting colors with a very beautiful luminous rendering. Signature on each copy "D'Argental Croix de Lorraine"
