Antique Louis XIV Neapolitan chest of drawers in walnut root with reserves in bois de rose.

The surface entirely in walnut root plays on the arrangement of the grain and the contrast of the chiaroscuro of the different inlays.

The decoration is typical of eighteenth-century Naples with the classic contrasting reserve and the shield on the lock.

The two corners and the top are highlighted by elegant wooden borders arranged 'head-on'.

The front of three drawers is accentuated by a beautiful movement that is also repeated on the sides, with the wedge-shaped shoulders typical of Neapolitan cabinetmakers of the period.

The two cabriolet feet are covered with bronze socks and are connected by a mixtilinear apron.

General Condition: Restored by our master craftsmen with the traditional method of shellac and alcohol done by hand.
