Louis XIV Period Veneered Wood Chest Of Drawers From The Early 18th Century. Axe
A beautiful and elegant chest of drawers with a wooden top and rounded uprights, opening at the front with three rows of drawers, veneered in native wood. This chest can be compared to the productions of the Hache dynasty in Grenoble, Thomas Hache. It features a lovely interplay of veneers with a geometric design, entirely veneered in local woods according to the tradition cherished by the Hache family. The veneers include olive, maple burl, and ash, arranged in compartments, with darker wood stringing and bronze ornamentation. A Louis XIV period piece, with a beautiful wood patina.
