"Enamelled Glass Paste Signed Picard Et Cie, Early 20th Century"
Element from a brasserie glass canopy in enameled pâte de verre depicting a heron at the water's edge, surrounded by stylized irises and water lilies. The design, with its vivid colors and flowing lines, is fully in line with the Art Nouveau aesthetic. Signed Picard & Cie at the lower right, this decorative work reflects the production of a Parisian workshop active between 1890 and 1910, specialized in glassware for public establishments. This type of glass panel, rarely preserved in such condition, stands as a remarkable decorative testimony to the Belle Époque.
