Beautiful pair of officer's pistols from the "LOUIS-PHILIPPE" period, circa 1830 - 1840, 19th century. Steel barrel with ribbon with brass flange intended for attachment to the barrel by means of a key crossing the barrel with head on the right side. Octagonal barrel over its entire length with breech tail ending in a tab fixed to the mount by a countersunk screw. Barrel carrying sights, barleycorn type front sight and "V" rear sight. Smooth barrel interior in 17 mm calibre and armoring chimney mounted on a hemispherical base on the rear part slightly raised to form a fire guard. Rear percussion lock and checkered crested hammer. Metal part bearing "rosette" punch. Mechanism in perfect working order on both pistols. Walnut mount with mid-length barrel ending at half the barrel. stock smooth flaring at the bottom and ending in a metal cap with a strap ring. Trigger under oval iron trigger guard. Location of the rods at the end of the barrel, metal rod with nail head.
