Rare Rolled-Form Vase with Flared Neck in Interlayered Crystal by Ernest Léveillé – Circa 1880

This rare vase by Ernest Léveillé features a rolled cylindrical form with a flared neck, crafted in speckled interlayered crystal.

The decoration includes an Art Nouveau-style gilded motif of a wading bird perched on a branch, clearly inspired by Asian art.

The base is enamelled to imitate gilt bronze, while the interlayer décor is composed of red oxide sprays fused within the glass.
