The work is signed Juliane Hervé (1921-2006) lower left. Titled and countersigned on the back on the stretcher.
Born in 1921, she is the daughter of the painter Jules Hervé-Mathé. She studied at the École des Beaux Arts in Paris. From the end of the 1940s, she exhibited regularly at the Salon des Artistes Français and the Salon des Artistes Indépendants.
