Pair Of Large Dishes. Ferdinandea Manufactory, Sec. 18th
This fine pair of large monochrome plates in magenta colour dates back to the 18th century.
Both dishes bear on the back the mark with the crowned N that was adopted by the Ferdinandea production starting from 1788.
From this moment on, a softer ceramic began to be produced and a simpler style was chosen. Our dishes depict a lake with swans, whose reflections can be seen in the water. There are some cooking defects on both dishes, which make this couple even more fascinating.
Period: Real Fabbrica Ferdinandea, 18th century.
Size: diameter cm. 36
