"Regency Oratory In Walnut And Intarsia, 18th Century"
Very beautiful Regency "oratory" piece of furniture in richly molded and carved walnut, curved front, decorated with intarsia boxwood fillets on the flap, on the door representing the tree of life as well as on the knee rest. This last element is independent and opens to a flap to store missals. The uprights are carved with typical Regency motifs. The side panels are made of softwood. Locks and keys are original. Beautiful regional work from the East of France. Probably Dole region (Jura). Period early 18th century. Very good condition.
