"Art Deco Marquetry Furniture, Ruhlmann Style"
Elegant Art Deco sideboard in Macassar ebony veneer with a rich ivory marquetry forming a large geometric pattern extending on the sides, decoration to be compared to the "Elysée" model piece by Jacques Emile Ruhlmann (1879-1933) with a front opening by two doors enhanced in the center by a modernist nickel-plated bronze entrance, the interior has a compartmentalized layout by English drawers and an open niche. The recessed upper shelf is highlighted with vertical ivory fillets. The whole resting on a rectangular base punctuated by an ogee plinth. Dimensions: 1 m 42 long X 1 m 03 cm high X 68 cm deep. Work from the second half of the 20th century of very fine quality of execution attributed to Maurice PRÉ (1908-1988)
