Ancient Oil Painting On Canvas Depicting "the Divine Shepherdess". Naples 17th Century.

The painting depicts a shepherdess with a face with still childish features.

She has a sheepskin bodice and a straw hat can be seen behind her.

Around the girl's head radiates an aura of sanctity and above two little angels hold a royal crown in flight.

On her right is the long pastoral staff; her left hand holds two white roses, while her right hand affectionately caresses her child.

From their mouths emerge petals that are, instead, pink.

In the foreground on the right you can see the shepherdess's foot as she crushes the head of the snake.

General Condition: Good condition.

Origin: Naples, second half of the 17th century.
