Pair Of Candlesticks, Masterwork From The 19th Century
Precious pair of candlesticks, masterful work of a journeyman during the 19th century. The circular base is made of turned wood, carved with a plant decoration. The body itself is monoxyl, thin and fragile (1mm/2mm thick). The result of the work of an agile and expert hand, the cuts forming a stylized climbing foliage are clean, regular and precise. One of these two pieces is in impeccable condition. The other shows some signs of fatigue: a chip on the neck, two cracks, a chip on the body (see last three photos). Precious object and increasingly rare in this condition of preservation. Free shipping for mainland France. Contact by email preferred.
