Bronze sculpture representing Belluaire with the panther Engraved on the plinth BELLUAIRE and on the side E.MariotonEugène Marioton is a French sculptor and medalist born on April 7, 1854 and died on September 19, 1933. He was the student of Auguste Dumont, Gabriel-Jules Thomas and Jean Marie Bonnassieux at the École des Beaux Arts in Paris. In 1833 he won first prize in the competition of the Free Society of Fine Arts. In 1884: first prize in the chiseling competition. In 1888, he was admitted to compete for the second attempt at the Grand Prix de Rome for sculpture. He became a member of the jury in 1905 at the Salon of the Societies of French Artists in the sculpture section.
