This imposing double-body cabinet, of Emilian origin and dating back to the second half of the 17th century, is a notable example of the furniture of the period, characterized by a solid structure and a realistic fake briar painted in lacquer on a chalk base, of fine workmanship and well preserved.
The lower body has drawers. One of the most interesting features is the presence of a "scarabattolo", a term that in ancient cabinetmaking indicates a drawer equipped with a mechanism that makes it fold down to reveal a hidden compartment inside. The upper body accessible by two doors hides two small compartments on the sides in addition to the shelves.
The cabinet is in excellent condition, compared to the period and its function of use. Its dimensions are: approximately 146 cm wide, 70 cm deep and 235 cm high
