"Édouard Pecquereau, born on May 5, 1836 in Paris, worked with his father, Jean-Théodore Pécquereau, in 1862 at 5 rue du chemin Vert. His brother-in-law, Achille Gilbert, joined the family business in 1867 to become Pecquereau Père et Fils and Gilbert Gendre. He kept the business with the latter in 1874, becoming Pecquereau Théodore Fils and A. Gilbert, Ancienne Maison Pecquereau Père, then alone in 1878. He won a silver medal at the Universal Exhibition of the same year. He sold his business around 1893 to Ed. Courtois. »
