"Pair Of Danish Art Deco Armchairs, 1940s"
Pair of Art Deco armchairs, Danish work from the 1940s. These two large armchairs perfectly illustrate the elegance of Danish furniture of the 1940s, in the spirit of Fritz Hansen. Their generous shape, with a fan-shaped tufted back, hugs the curves of the body for remarkable comfort. Richly upholstered, they are covered in velvet in a soft beige-yellow tone, typical of the cozy interiors of the period. The armrests are highlighted with delicate pleats, echoing the pleating of the back; the whole rests on dark-stained beech hemisphere legs. Danish work, circa 1940.
